Art Night Associate Programme 2017; Resistant Materials at Hales London Presented by Rachel Pimm

Tea Building, London, London, United Kingdom

Saturday, July 1, 2017 - 06:00 to 12:00

Housed in the Tea Building, a historic Shoreditch landmark, Hales London presents a new installation by London-based artist Rachel Pimm with a late-night opening and the artist in attendance. Pimm works in sculpture, photography, video and performance to make work that explores environments, ecologies and ecosystems and their politics and materialities, often from the point of view of non-human agents such as plants, minerals, worms, water, rubber or gravity. Rachel Pimm’s Resistant Materials will explore the histories and material qualities of clay through a series of site-specific surface interventions in the gallery space as well as a new film work.
