Get on Board: Girls Skate Camp

In 2018, Vans embarked on a global initiative to teach women of all ages how to skateboard through a series of skate clinics in an effort to introduce a new form of expression, while empowering the skate community through new perspectives. Vans remains committed to growing and sustaining skateboarding worldwide and will host a brand-new series of women’s skate workshops across the globe beginning on Saturday 9th March at House of Vans London.


 House of Vans will open its doors exclusively to 90 lucky women to attend a private Girls Skate Camp with Vans ambassadors Lucy Adams, Amy Ram, Helena Long and Shani Bru. Before hitting the park, each guest will learn how to set up their first board, receive a fresh pair of Vans trainers and enjoy a complimentary brunch in the underground Café. Spaces are limited and attendees can sign up via to be in with a chance of joining the VIP preview.


 From 15:00 onwards, doors will be open to the general public with an open Skate Jam & Best Trick Competition powered by Vanguards ambassadors Lucy, Amy, Helena and Shani. 


 Tunnel 3 will be abuzz with a wealth of London’s indie female traders & skate collectives joining a Street Market and pop-up street course where House of Vans instructors will be running open skate clinics. 


 The Gallery space will share the action with a photographic retrospective looking back at the most powerful females in the world of professional skateboarding while House of Vans Workshops will be on all afternoon.  


 At 19:00 Vans Vanguards Film will be screened in the House of Vans 110-seat Cinema room for all to enjoy. Live DJs and bands will also soundtrack the day.
