Graeae have launched a new digital lockdown programme, Crips without Constraints: A Play, A Podcast, A Picture, to help celebrate the talent, resilience and creativity of Deaf and disabled artists, even while in isolation.
Over the course of 11 weeks from Monday 20 April, Graeae will be releasing the following digital content on their website (www.graeae.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/graeae) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:
On Mondays: a brand new monologue by a Deaf/disabled writer, read by a Deaf/disabled actor (in collaboration with and introduced by award winning writer Jack Thorne). This will commence with Flesh by Anita Kelly, read by Francesca Mills, directed by Nickie Miles-Wildin. All videos will be audio described and captioned.
On Wednesdays: a BSL interpreted Podcast, from the Graeae and Disability Arts Online Disability And... Podcast series
On Fridays: a picture from Graeae's archive, celebrating the talent and creativity of the artists we've worked with over the last 4 decades.
Remember to put Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in your diary from 20 April for 11 weeks!
