The festival takes over the inspiring spaces of the museum with eclectic entertainment including:
Flying Carpets presented by Community Arts North West
11.30am // 1pm // 3pm
An immersive journey into the hidden stories behind some of the museum’s collections. Created and performed by refugee artists, Flying Carpets explores historical links to Manchester’s refugee communities through music, dance and storytelling.
3.15 - 4.30pm
Join Bryan Sitch, Deputy Head of Collections and Curator of Archaeology at Manchester Museum, in a discussion about how the museum engages its visitors with one of the major challenges of our time - displacement.
11am - 4pm
Drop in throughout the day to learn about different cultures through art, craft and digital workshops. Includes; International Kite Project - Digital Kite Flying, Craftivism with Asylum Matters, Kite Making with the Community Kite Project, The Travelling Library.

Silenced Voices: Syrian Women in Assad's Prisons
Rethink Rebuild Society tells the stories of 16 Syrian women detained in Assad's prisons. Animated by photographs, illustrations and messages from the women, this powerful exhibition gives an insight into their lives. Recommended for an older audience.
