In 1478 the role of Master of the Works of the City was created to oversee plans, finances and works. Officeholders include Sir Horace Jones, George Dance (elder and younger) and James Bunstone Bunning, under whose watch the City's skyline and fabric was forged. Join a City Guide to discover some incredible feats of architecture and construction and hear about City Surveyors past and present, seeing their legacy in today's landscape. There are two locations for this event: Walk A- from East to West- Meet: Liverpool Street Station (top of the escalators by entry/exit) End: Cheapside. Walk B- The North West Quarter- Meet St Paul's tube (exit 1). End: Guildhall Yard
