Shakespeare has inspired music, dance and performance all over the world. To coincide with the UK - India Year of Culture 2017, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust presents an exhibition celebrating South Asian interpretations of Shakespeare. Explore how Shakespeare has been interpreted and what he means in the countries which make up South Asia, from India to Afghanistan. To complement the exhibition we have commissioned new musical compositions exploring how modern musicians working in both british and asian traditions have been inspired by Shakespeare.

Don’t Miss - our preview talk by composer Jason Singh, musician, composer, sound artist,and beatboxer. He will talk about Shakespeare music literature and North India.
