'shmac' is an interactive device that allows participants to interact with sound using simple and intuitive gestures. The interaction is complementary to all levels of musical expertise and has a versatile range of applications.
Kinetic Ubiquitous Bandwidths (KUB) consisting of Larry Philips and Janis Sokolovskis, invite you to the 'shmac' Launch event, which will be comprised of a workshop with audience participation and performance using 'shmac'
The workshop is free and all ages and levels of experience are welcome. KUB will introduce participants to motion-based technology and their applications within music and beyond. Through examples and demonstration, Larry and Janis will be talking about the history of 'shmac', the current state of development and speculate on the future of motion-based technology.
All audience members will have the chance to create music during the immersive experience.
