The famous British organist Thomas Trotter will perform in Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, accompanied by the Russian State Chamber Orchestra with Alexey Utkin as conductor.

PROGRAMME

The programme will include music for organ and orchestra from the XVIII and XX centuries.

Johann Christian Bach – Concerto for clavier and strings in D major, Op. 1 number 6
Kenneth Leighton – Concerto for Organ, String Orchestra and Timpani
Georg Friedrich Handel – Concerto for Organ and Orchestra in D Major, Op. 7 number 4
Francis Poulenc – Concerto for Organ, Timpani and Strings in G Minor
 

ABOUT THOMAS TROTTER

Thomas Trotter is one of the UK’s most renowned musicians: Birmingham's chief organist, organist at Westminster Abbey in London and visiting professor at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. "Virtuoso of virtuosos, he always puts his incredible technique in the service of music" (James Hildreth).

ABOUT THE STATE ACADEMIC CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The State Academic Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1955 by the outstanding violinist, violist and conductor Rudolf Barshai as the first ever chamber orchestra in the Soviet Union. Since 2010, it has been directed by talented oboist Alexey Utkin.
