Apply for British Council grants connecting you through culture with Southeast Asia

The latest round of Connections Through Culture, a mobility grants programme suporting artists and arts professionals in East Asia and the UK, is open for applications until 4 November.

The programme aims to develop cultural exchanges and collaborations between artists and art professionals from each region and support relationships between them.

Applicants living in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, the UK, or Viet Nam must:

  • be an artist, cultural or art professional, or a representative of art collectives, networks or organisations
  • work in architecture, dance, drama, design, fashion, film, literature, music, and visual arts
  • be prepared to travel April-June 2020.

Grants available include up to £2,500 for individual artists or professionals from the UK who want to visit any of the Southeast Asian cuntries, up to £3,500 for their equivalents in Southeast Asia to visit the UK, and up to £5,000 for representatives of groups in either region to visit the other.
