Atom Gallery Raises Funds for Charity With Pizza Box Exhibition

Atom Gallery has invited over 40 artists to produce an original artwork on empty pizza boxes for an exhibition to raise much needed funds for Hackney Foodbank. A wide variety of artists from London's urban and street art scenes (and some from further afield...) will be spraying, painting, printing and drawing on pizza boxes supplied by local pizza companies.

Entitled "Can I Get a Slice?' the exhibition will be running from 2 to 23 November and confirmed artists include Tombstone (pictured), Pure Evil, Jessica Albarn, Supermundane, Carrie Reichardt, Heath Kane, Magda Archer, Skeleton Cardboard and Arista as well as many more to be announced.

Founded by Richard Pendry and Mark Perronet, Atom is a small but ambitious contemporary art gallery in Stoke Newington which hosts regular exhibitions and showcases the work of new and emerging artists.

Hackney Foodbank was founded by local churches and community groups in 2012 to stop hunger in the local area. Since opening, it has provided ingredients for more than 100,000 meals to local people in financial crisis.

'Can I Get a Slice' is at Atom Gallery, 127 Green Lanes, London N16 9DA, from 2 to 23 November 2019.
