Design for an environmental-focused future with £25,000 funding

The British Council's Architecture Design Fashion team is inviting proposals from UK-based organisations, collectives and creative practitioners to inspire and promote a global dialogue around climate change, with a specific focus on engaging young people (18-29).

The commissions will be part of the cultural programme in the build-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), which the UK is hosting in Glasgow in November 2021.

The maximum funding available for this work is £25,000 (inclusive of VAT) and applicants must submit a budget breakdown as part of the application.

Proposals should showcase radical thinking about the role of design in shaping our future and responding to urgent environmental issues. Proposals should also amplify the voices of young people and/or reach youth audiences, stimulating healthy debate and positive action through design.

Applicants should submit full application by 18:00 (GMT) on Sunday, 31 January 2021.

Full criteria and the application form can be downloaded from the British Council Arts site.
