Liverpool Biennial 2020 explores notions of body with 49 confirmed artists

Liverpool Biennial 2020 has chosen an unusual theme for its artists. Entitled 'The Stomach and the Port' the biennial will "explore the notions of body...challenges an understanding of the individual as a defined, self-sufficient entity."

Liverpool Biennial 2020 is curated by Manuela Moscoso with artistic director Fatos Üstek and the Liverpool Biennial team.

The Biennial programme is presented in locations across Liverpool, including public spaces, historic sites and the city’s leading art venues including Bluecoat, Liverpool Central Library, Cotton Exchange Building, Exchange Flags, FACT, National Museums Liverpool, Open Eye Gallery, St George's Hall, Tate Liverpool and Victoria Gallery & Museum. New for 2020, Liverpool Biennial’s reach will also expand to the city’s historic Fabric District.

Artists producing work for the festival include Larry Achiampong, Evan Ifekoya, Linder, Zineb Sinera and 46 others confirmed.
