National Portrait Gallery unveils first online BP Portrait Award 2020

National Portrait Gallery has launched this year's BP Portrait Award online, the exhibition chosen from 1,981 entries by artists from 69 countries around the world. Visit the virtual exhibition here.

The Portrait Award is an annual event aimed at encouraging artists to focus on and develop the theme of portraiture in their work. The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and over, in recognition of the outstanding and innovative work currently being produced by artists of all ages.

Experience the BP Portrait Award 2020 virtually by stepping into the online gallery space where you can view the portraits on the wall, read the labels, gain insight from the featured artists, and explore each individual work in more detail.
