Northern Ballet curate 'Pay as you Feel' digital season of dance performance

Northern Ballet is bringing "world-class ballet to your doorstep" with a season of unmissable dance on screen. The 'Pay as you Feel' season includes the below programming:

  • EGO - An original Northen Ballet dance film that you can watch online now
  • Dracula - see it on BBC Four and iPlayer in the coming weeks as part of the BBC's Culture in Quarantine Season
  • 1984 - for one month only, see Jonathan Watkins' award-winning ballet online from Friday 3 April
  • Little Red Riding Hood - our ballet for children has been adapted for CBeebies and will be shown for the first time at 9:30am on Good Friday, 10 April
  • 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala - see exclusive extended highlights online from Friday 17 April
  • The Making of EGO - an exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary into the making of Kenneth Tindall and Dan Lowenstein's new dance film
  • Exclusive content from new ballet Geisha
  • Extended footage from Victoria
  • Exclusive dancer Q&As and behind-the-scenes content

Northern Ballet is set to face significant financial hardship due to COVID-19.

The entire industry is facing an immensely challenging time. For Northen Ballet, the lost income from cancelled performances could affect its ability to maintain a workforce, many of whom are freelancers who the company is committed to continuing to pay. You can donate here.
