British artist Es Devlin OBE will design the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, expected to be visited by 25 million people in 6 months from October 2020 to April 2021. Es Devlin was announced the winner on 27 September 2018.

The Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion, Baroness Rona Fairhead CBE, joined Sir John Sorrell CBE and Professor Eric Yim at the London Design Biennale to launch the UK's partnership with Hong Kong's Business of Design Week 2019 (BODW). Baroness Fairhead spoke at the event on 18 September during the London Design Biennale 2018 at Somerset House.
The GREAT Britain Campaign is supporting Hay Festival in Segovia – the biggest literature event in Spain – which takes place 20–23 September 2018. It will highlight the two country's shared love of literature and promote partnerships between British and Spanish creative industries.
The activity is part of a wider campaign across Europe which aims to shine a light on the UK’s strengths and partnerships to European audiences.

Theatres Trust Conference 18: Adapt & Thrive will take place on Tuesday 16 October at the Lyric Hammersmith, London, exploring how changing artistic, business and operating models in the theatre sector are impacting on how we build, adapt and run theatres.
Through a mixture of inspiring plenaries and lively breakout sessions, the conference will look at how we can ensure our theatres remain viable in challenging economic times and how we can continue to invest in renewal of our theatre infrastructure.

The iconic feat of locomotive engineering was bult in Newcastle in 1829, and its homecoming for the Great Exhibition of the North earlier this year – the first time in 150 years – was seen as a huge highlight of the programme. It has helped increase visitors to the Discover Museum in Newcastle by over 100% on 2017.

The panel deciding the winning design for the UK Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai has been announced, with the 11 experts in their fields looking for a design concept that will create the most original, inspiring and memorable visitor experience possible. The winner will be announced later in 2018.

Theatres Trust have announced their first ever list of Ambassadors who will work with them to ensure the UK’s theatres are protected and secured for future generations to enjoy.
Theatres Trust promotes great theatre buildings through advising, funding and campaigning on behalf of theatres across the UK. In 2017, the Trust worked with around 350 theatres and hundreds of community groups and industry professionals to ensure current and future generations have access to good quality theatre buildings where they can be inspired by, and enjoy, live theatre.
